Hosting your private event in a space where both you and your guests feel comfortable and 'at home' will only add to the success of your party. Private parties allow you to personalize your night to your needs! You take care of the menu you choose the place and time; Whimsy has the enthusiastic instructor, the materials and will show you all the fun! You even get to choose the painting!

Best Time to Host a Party:
Whimsy private events can be booked day or evening, weekday or weekend, subject to instructor availability.
Party Location Options:
WHIMSY ART STUDIO, Owen Sound: Leave it all to Whimsy! The studio really is the perfect space... Everything is all set up, there's no prep for you or clean-up! The lighting and sound is perfectly set for optimum guest comfort and success! Reserve the studio and all you have to do is show up and have fun! There is no extra work on your end and when you do have your private party at the studio, THE HOST IS FREE!
WHIMSY VAN-GO: You arrange the space and we will bring the party to you! You may choose to have your party in a local community room, at your place of business, church or school for example. Just be sure to ensure your venue can comfortably provide the adequate space and lighting you need for your guests. Whimsy brings all the materials... but sorry, no furniture!
(Please note that travel to private residences is not a current option. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. But, travel to public spaces is still offered! Please discuss your location ideas upon booking and arranging your party plan.)

Your Private Painting Party includes:

Say cheese! Expect the perfect photos/videos capturing all your fun! Such a sweet memory keepsake of your time together!
Food/Drink In the Studio
Guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic drinks and food to the studio. Wish to have a little something extra to quench your thirst? Licensed private party events are easily available! Please call directly for more details.
When You Schedule your Private Party:

Gather a minimum of 10 guests/maximum of 30 guests (studio space holds 18 guests) to attend your event. If you have less than 10 party guests, the minimum rate will still equal 10 spots.

Book the studio... it's the easiest way to pARTy! Not for you? Okay, let's talk about some different arrangements... just be sure your alternate venue can comfortably provide the space/lighting/sound support you need for your guests to feel confident and successful

Encourage your guests to commit promptly, as your date is being held specifically for you, with others being turned away. Your effort to ensure you meet the minimum is necessary

If you are electing to have alcoholic drinks at your party in the studio be sure to arrange for your permit. It's not complicated... just reach out directly for further details!

For some private parties not held at the studio, a travel fee may be applied.
Pricing for Private Parties:
Private parties require a 10 person minimum. If less than 10 guests attend, the total payment still represents 10 guests. Pricing is as follows:

Whimsy reserves the right to change these prices without notice.
Cancellations
Nobody likes to cancel a fun time! In good faith, Whimsy will hold your date for you as you plan your party but asks that you respect the fact that others are turned away when you're holding that spot. Please organize your guest list promptly to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements before asking to hold the date. Whimsy follows the red banner weather alerts and so should bad weather get in the way of your party, Whimsy will reschedule your event for you. If in an emergency Whimsy needs to cancel your event, your event will be rebooked.
Scheduling:
When should you book your private party? The answer is the sooner the better! Whimsy will book parties for weekends or weekdays, morning, afternoon or evening... it's just a matter of if the date you're interested in is available. The calendar could fill up fast and you'll want to give your guests time to RSVP. Also, keep in mind: Children's birthday parties fill up extra fast!
Whimsy Kids Painting Party Details:
Whimsy Kids /family painting parties are a perfect way for little artists to celebrate a birthday or other event with their friends! Together they will share a similar experience as the grown-up events, and connect to their own artistic inspirations! Details for kid's parties are as follows:

Suitable for artists ages 5+

Children/family parties are hosted exclusively at the Whimsy Art Studio

Parties include setup/clean up and materials

Allows for choice of painting pattern (custom themed art may be available with notice, please ask for details)

Approximately 2 hours of guided painting lesson; total of 3 hour party time together (to include time for cake and present openings as appropriate) If you elect to extend your party past the 3 hour timeline, additional fees will apply.

Cost is $249.00 for up to 8 children ($25/additional child)

New pricing begins for bookings taking place after March 1, 2023 ($289.00 for up to 8 children ($30/additional child)

Cool pARTy favours... kids take home their own masterpiece!

Kid's parties are paid for in full at the time of booking. Guests do not need to register individually online for children's events.

Size appropriate canvases are used for children/family events to ensure a timely progression and artist success!

You are welcome to bring food/drink to your children's party too. Please discuss your specific plans when you book your party! The studio does not have a fridge/freezer so ice-cream isn't ideal)
